About us
Dictatorship Watch is not an anti-Pakistan military site. It monitors and reviews situation in Pakistan as an example of a country under continued colonial occupation, sustained through both military AND CIVILIAN dictators since 1947. The aim is to expose the real face of the colonialists, Zionists and their supporters , and to achieve true independence and the right to self-determination. In this context the scope goes well beyond Pakistan and covers all related studies and analysis, which become part of this site. Pakistan army gets the highlight where it is used by the corrupt, sold-generals as a mercenary force for the enemies of Pakistan. This site does not oppose, criticise, malign or undermine Pakistan army as an institution as such. We only have this to tell the brave soldiers of Pakistan army.
Why Monitoring Civilian and Military Dictatorship in Pakistan Matters
Cognizant of the current lack of information about invisible occupations, such as the one going on in Pakistan and other Muslim states, dictatorship watch has been launched to keep an eye on the continued occupation by successive military and civilian dictators.
Monitoring the invisible, continued colonial occupation of Pakistan has a special importance due to its many subjects at the heart of the public debate, such as the United States and its allies war of terror, Muslims right to self determination, continued colonialism under various labels, the façade of democracy and the Arab-Israeli conflict that has been kept alive with strategic colonial objectives.
It is long past time to bring the world's attention to the continued interference of the former and new colonial maters in countries like Pakistan.
Colonialism is a tool of the colonialists under which former colonies are free to exercise their right to self-determination, but are made subject to a number of humiliating regulations and systems designed to enforce the colonial command that they remain dependent, divided and under total control of the former colonial nations. This denial of equality of rights and dignity remains part of the present world order, and, as such, are part of the legal superstructure that global totalitarians are laboring to sustain at any cost.
If the former colonies complain about their inferior status, institutionalized humiliation, or poverty, their masters impose puppet regimes on them and regard them as enemies of the civilized “international community.”
Consequently, masses in countries like Pakistan are generally cowed into silence and worse through puppet regimes, supported by London and Washington. It was almost unheard-of to find occupied nations speaking out against their oppressive military and civilian dictators; to do so would have been suicide. For decades now, masses in the Muslim world learned to live in peace with their Western overlords by acquiescing to their subservience. Masses even actively identified with the dominant military and political classes, and became strenuous advocates for sustaining the status quo.
Spearheaded by oppressed academics and self-serving advocacy groups, that same attitude of chastened subservience has entered into Muslim and non-Muslim academic study of colonialism, and from there into journalism, school textbooks, and the popular discourse. One must not point out the depredations of colonialism and continued occupations; to do so would offend the “international” ethos that prevails everywhere today. To do so would endanger chances for peace and rapprochement between civilizations all too ready to clash.
But in this era of global terrorism it must be said: this silence, this distortion, has become deadly. Before the direct occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq on the basis of pure lies, it was easy to ignore and whitewash continued colonial adventure, but the atrocities changed the situation forever. In colonialism throughout history, untold millions have died. Tens of millions have been uprooted from their homes. Tens of millions have been stripped of their cultural identity. To continue to gloss over the destruction wrought by colonial systems and ideology is today to play into the hands of neo-cons, Zionists and their opportunists Muslim allies who have repeatedly vowed to transform the Muslim countries and destroy any recalcitrant elements.
While neo-con groups, even with their global diffusion, are not strong enough to realize this goal by themselves with the war of terrorism alone, they have a potent and destructive ally, a genuine fifth column, in the opportunist Muslim dictators, academics and journalists they have recruited for themselves. They have succeeded in confusing millions in the West and East into mistaking honesty and truthfulness for bigotry, and self-defense for oppression.
Before it's too late for the Muslim and non-Muslim nations, this march of colonilaists must be stopped. Therefore Dictatorship Watch seeks to bring public attention to:
- The plight of the invisibly occupied nations by regularly monitoring the situation in Pakistan as an example, an immense but almost completely ignored ongoing occupation that continues in many countries today;
- The plight of masses under puppet regimes supported by the colonial West, similar to conditions imposed on blacks in South Africa or Palestinians in occupied Arab lands, in the denial of equal rights and dignity;
- Mockery of democracy in Muslim countries, where kings, sheikhs, generals and opportunist politicians are imposed and fully supported as long as they serve the colonial interest;
- The integral role of terrorism and colonialist ideology in global sustaining the colonial global order today;
- The license that academic and journalistic whitewashes of continued colonialism gives to civilians and military dictatorships in the former countries under direct colonial occupation.
Dictatorship Watch fights to ensure that deeds done in the darkness for so long will not continue to be done. The light of world attention is anathema to the proponents of continued colonialism which goes on under various acceptable labels.
May the truth prevail.
